80 Tesla shares now

Just bought 2 more shares of Tesla at around US$582, as it is close to 150 SMA, which is my next entry point.

There is more confidence, as both Chicken Genius and Tan Kin Lian are selling companies to buy more Tesla.

I think their entry points is around US$600.

Next purchase may

be around US$500.

Goodbye Baidu

Baidu is one of the stocks that I own but don't really fancy it.

Today's stock market is very red, but Baidu has a slight increase of around 0.6%.

Thought of closing the position as there are many that believe a market fall is coming.

Also recently I have been piling on stocks that dipped, like Tesla and Salesforce.

Selling Baidu just liquidates some cash for me, although not much.

Baidu is a stock I held on to, because it is losing.

I think at one time it fell to around 50% of the money I paid for.

But I held on and got rewarded.

Not that it is painful to hold on to. I only put US$1k.

And by selling today, I made around US$500, which is around 50% gain.

More than my Facebook investment, which is on around 45% gain.

Debt of Margin account

My IG account is getting bigger.

But I only have around S$5k invested in the account.

Current profits is around $12k.

Total portfolio value is around $60k.

I was thinking more about the interest that I pay daily.

I pay around US$5 daily.

To be conservative, I use interest rate of 1.4.

So in SGD, it will be S$7 daily.

Interest rate for a year will be S$2.6k.

That is quite substantial if I deduct it from my annual salary from job.

The account has some Singapore shares, which is DBS and Fraser's Centre Point.

Their current Portfolio value is around S$35k.

Lets say they pay 5% dividends, I will receive S$1.8k.

In other words, the interest that I need to come out from my own pocket will be 2.6k-1.8k = S$800.

Which is still not too bad.

Tesla and Salesforce update

Recently the tech stocks seems to be falling.

Bought another 3 stocks of Tesla, and another 3 at around US$680.

The next target price will be US$560, which is the next moving average support.

Also bought another 10 shares of Salesforce.

I have not yet read why their price fell.

But as a user of their Tableau software, I hope to be holding to more of their shares.

All the above are purchased using CFD, which is borrowed money.

So I have to keep an eye on that, and not lose the profits that was gained from Covid-19 opportunity.

But currently, I felt that the layer of profit is still good enough to take on small risks.

The price of Salesforce now is at a strong support, going back to the point before it broke upwards in 25 Aug 2020.
