History with tsla

 Today I had an interesting question

Of all the tsla share I had now, how many of them were bought early before the share splits?

Digging my old post, i roughly had 12 shares left after Feb 20

With avg price of around us$243 each

First split was 5 shares in Aug 20

the next split was 3 shares

So, out of the 536 shares I have now, 180 of it was from the early batch before price exploded upwards

How much did I pay for the 12 shares? Multiply by 243,its 3 k usd.

The value of tsla holdings now is 126k

180/536= 33%

126/3=42k

So the 3k I spent on tsla becomes 42k, which is more than a 10 bagger as of today 

one third of the TSLA shares (180 out of 536) I have today are bought using US$3k

50 ABNB achieve

 was thinking for quite long

if i should buy more ABNB or not

had 35, now have 50

earnings result is 2 day away

PE is around 8.6

I decided to buy

at the last moment before purchasing

I recalled 3 years ago

it was so difficult to get a good deal

now there are so many tech stocks on sale

so I should just take the opportunity when I have a desire for a certain stock (below chart)

it is also a stock i like a lot

transacted with them around 8 times already

they really helped me saved on trips

their website is also very enjoyable to use

and makes me think about my next trip

it also also want I think I will use often when I reach financial freedom

just travel alot, and use abnb a lot

I also wanted abnb to be more significant in my portfolio

previously it was around 3.5k in total valuation

now it is bumped up to US$5.5k

similar weight as my FB and GRAB holdings

this purchase reduced my cash holding to SGD $11k

now I am really satisfied with my portfolio, and I can just leave it for multiple years and let it grow

now I am looking forward to my cash holdings to get to S$30k

savings target

 now that I have bought enough shares during the downturn last year

i can look at my savings target

first milestone is $30k

which is good for converting car to normal plate, hiring maid for one year, parents travel expenses

in case I need any of the 3 above

next milestone is $50k

even better buffer for the above

it is quite attainable, as the job pays bonuses of 5k and 10 k each time

my mthly salary also has a portion that is unused too

ABNB again

 its been a while since I bought shares

I felt I have spent enough on shares, just have to give it time and do nothing

recently shares are down again, and I am interested in increasing ABNB holdings

just came back from HK, and felt ABNB is very gd

bought at 119 today

support at 125 and 105

bought 5 today, and first time trying to send money to IBKR account

seems quite easy by using Wise and Paynow (Digibank)

their earnings report is on 1 Nov, not sure how it will move

I hope to have 50 ABNB shares

then I can start increasing my savings again

I hope to have $30k SGD, then $50k

it should be gd enough buffer for things if I need, like hiring helper, convert car to normal license

family trips, etc

ABNB built up position

 just got another 10 ABNB

after debt ceiling agreement was signed

I was waiting for it to pass, as it could have a devastating outcome, if US defaults

now I have around US$3k of ABNB

which is a more sizeable position

so I am happy with all my holdings now

PS ratio around 9

got all of it around the same price

around $112

just have to hold all of it for a long time

200 GRAB

 Got another 200 grab

after they crashed 12%, due to quarter earnings

spent S$700

so they reaching a support line, that is why I buy

next support is around $2.3

new stock ABNB!

 bought 20 ABNB at $111.999

I always like ABNB

and simple fact is most stocks that we buy now, are all under valued

and will go up in time

ABNB crashed 10% few days ago after reporting 2023Q1 earnings

it is a business that I like, and use

and I am thankful for them for providing cheaper accommodation for my HK trip in Oct

and also offers people more options for accommodation

I also think that if I am financial independent, I will want to keep travelling, and also use ABNB frequently

it took me some time to think about whether I want to buy

cause I may be able to save money, and pay for expenses of the future

like converting my car to normal plate, hiring a helper for 2 years

but $3k is reasonable

and it may be the last chance to get stocks on a cheap

I still have some funds left from the bonus

the price purchase was at a support level, and also on 200 moving moving average

TSLA dipped again today, bought another 3

next support is around $100

200 GRAB

 

Got another 200 GRAB

Now I have 2000 GRAB in total

recently I read that they increased their commission for taxi

so they can get closer to profitability

Buying the dip

tsla went to $166 per share

bought 3

the share dipped after reporting 2023Q1 results

but i think it is ok

Elon long term view is to cut price of car

and sell more

so that the world will transition to EV faster

when you have good intentions, you will be rewarded

that is the biggest vision and goal a human can have

7 more TSLA

 

Got my bonus

and now I have around 20k

spent around 1.7k today

to get 7 TSLA

there are some good news. inflation at 5%

seems like the inflation issue is getting better

and also, I think Xi of China might do well to get the war to stop

and it that progresses well

the other big worry will be reduced

$183 is a good price

some times ago, many say TSLA at $1k (before 3 to 1 split) was a good price

now , the price is so far from that

and I should nimble some

also made it a nicer number rounded number

now I have 530 TSLA

next support is at $150

300 GRAB

 got another 300 GRAB

now holding a total of 1800 GRAB

the CEO is young, and like TSLA, has a nice mission

which is to elevate SEA thru technology

clear and simple mission, and strategies too

this buy is something like DCA

many tech stocks have already rose a lot since start of 2023

TSLA like nearly doubled from $110

and GRAB is still quite close to their bottom

it is also a more bullish market now

with interest rate stabilizing

so it might be the last few opportunity to buy a stock close to the low

GRAB PS is around 7+

which is decent

3 TSLA

 

TSLA had a strong run up

and now it is dipping

buying the dip with 3 shares

TSLA PS ratio is now 7, after their earnings

and 7 is low for a growth company

next lvl to buy will be around $150

10 GOOGL

 current market, there is less that I want to buy

many stocks have gone up in value

but googl crashed recently

due to chatgpt

i think googl will be fine

they will eventually have an equivalent of it

i also thought they had youtube

alot of quality things are said that, and it might be better than websites

so googl has an advantage by having youtube and blocking msft from using it

bought it at 94.45

Wasteful spending

 decided to cut shopping of cards, knives and crystals

went through a period of time

where I keep feeding myself with info of new stuff on sale

felt it is very unhealthy

and not sustainable

stopping the habits was not that difficult

unfollow the feeds, and not see anything related again

when I feel empty, i realized that I can read books

i rather have a fatter bank account

grow cash to $10k, then $20k, so on

save for rainy days

i might need cash in future, 

convert car to black plate

or hire a helper

PLTR to buy n hold

 bought 200 PLTR

and shifted it to buy and hold account

previously it is meant for options trading

why buy now?

i was interested in pltr

but i could not get a sense of it

i wanted to try out the software as a data analyst

but there was no chance

today i watched a video from stealth investing

Luke is someone i trust, consistent and experience

he mentioned the members of his private group tried the software

and mentioned it is very good

better than snow flak, snowflake was like a children level

and he mentioned it was meant for giant companies

as it could deal with complexity

there, with this info, i got the no of pltr that i wanted

1000 of it

and I am holding on to it

another lucky thing is that the stock did not rally up as much as others these few weeks

since the start of the year

so i bought it near the low at $6.75

i think it reduced the loss on that stock from 67% yo 62%

in terms of the bonus that is used to buy stock

it is it finished already

previously i left around $2.5k

so this purchase uses around $2k

so the next round of bonus is around May this yr
