Googl popped upwards today after earnings result
sold a covered call, for $95 premium
strike price is $190, which means the price will have to go up another 10% to reach
delta was less than 20%
TSLA popped upwards after the earnings call yesterday
sold a call with strike price $190, which is 15% away from current price
with delta 2.0
got $277 premium, even though I was expecting around $300. Maybe I should not use market order
initiated a spread on ABNB
betting that price does not go to 145
i am trying both covered calls and bear call spread
covered calls i use when price is up
bear put spread when the price is down
Entered SMCI bull put spread
more than 1 to 4 profit loss ratio
but I realize the price of a share is very high
if it goes to zero, I will lose more than $100k SGD
which is something that will make me comfortable
so I close the position
I should trade shares that are cheaper, until I gain more experience
loss around US$129
just use spreads
spreads is like a better version of covered calls, as there is a default stop loss
and I know when to close the position
I can also go both directions
bear call spread, or bull put spread
i am also not restricted to the shares I own
lost $200+ today
TSLA spiked and currently at $175
so closed the contract
current cash : 7081
sold 1 call ending in 3 days time
was surprised the premium was $47 USD
I do not think TSLA will shoot up 5% this wk
as there are quite a few negative sentiments
I am following the same logic as credits spread
as taught by Adam Khoo
if the price reaches the strike price, close it immediately
my strike price is $155, currently the price is around $154.8
I closed it and saw my cash account decrease by $159
but also, I got premium of $72 previously
so the loss is actually not as much as I thought, at 159 - 72 = $87
current cash : $7,034
bought 14 TSLA
realized it is the only stock that does not have a rounded number to 10
now I have 550 shares
it has also stayed low at 170+ for some time
i think it may be quite a bottom, where there are most negative sentiments
also, there is a growing number of people talking about how great the latest self driving software is
version 12
so it may soon approach a time where it get great hype
also, i have liquidated SHAK some time ago, and had 10K usd
so now I am left with 7.1k
hopefully I can earn enough from options to get back to 10k soon
it is also easier to trade options
if I sell 2 contracts of covered calls, I will know that I have 350 shares of TSLA that is untouched
